Sam's Club's frozen Member's Mark Breaded Mozzarella Sticks have been recalled in five states owing to an undisclosed allergy that might prove fatal to certain customers. The mozzarella sticks may include egg and soy, however the contents are not listed on the container.
Rich Products in New York manufactures Sam's frozen mozzarella sticks, which were recalled when Rich determined that a "incorrect raw material" was used to create the mozzarella sticks, introducing undeclared soy and egg.
As a result, if you are allergic or sensitive to eggs or soy, you should avoid eating the recalled mozzarella sticks.
Sam's Club shops in Kentucky, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia carried Member's Mark Breaded Mozzarella Sticks. If the package has a Best If Used By Date of 12/28/2024 and the UPC number 078742226880, you have the recalled product. Product images are also available on the FDA's website.
If you have any of the recalled mozzarella sticks in your freezer, Rich Products recommends returning them to your local Sam's Club for a full refund. If you don't have a soy or egg allergy, the mozzarella sticks are still safe to consume since the sole reason they were recalled was due to an undisclosed allergen.
