Uncertain of what to prepare for this year's holiday dinner? Thanksgiving is already dominated by the turkey, and roast beef and ham can be rather unremarkable.
However, there is another out-of-the-box (and oven) option: The Kansas City Star reports that Taco Bell is adding Christmas menu options.
A three-cheese chicken flatbread melt won't be available until January 11, but Taco Bell's website shows it's already available in some areas as part of its Cravings Value Menu.
A new product, the Double Berry Freeze, will be released on December 21.
Taco Bell's $5 Chalupa Cravings Box and new drink launch coincide with the Winter Solstice, as reported by Penn Live.
In some regions, this box is already available, similar to the new flatbread. According to Taco Bell's website, the three-cheese chicken flatbread will cost $1.99.
The dish features flatbread with chicken, cheddar, mozzarella, and pepper jack cheeses, and a creamy chipotle sauce, as described by Chew Boom.
According to a Redditor who tasted the meal in September, it was "literally just the chicken chipotle melt with more bread."
Penn Live reports that the Double Berry Freeze combines the Blue Raspberry and Wild Strawberry Freezes, a novel twist on familiar goods.
It will likely cost $3.79 for standard and $3.99 for large, identical to the single-flavor freezes, and be available for a limited time. How popular the drink is may determine its lifespan.
According to Taco Bell's website, the Chalupa Box includes a Beef Chalupa Supreme, a beefy 5-layer burrito, a crunchy taco, cinnamon twists, and a medium fountain drink.
