Taco Bell Is Testing Chicken Nuggets And Cheesy Chalupas

Two new Taco Bell menu items may be arriving soon if a limited-release trial goes well. The fast food chain will introduce crispy chicken nuggets in Minneapolis on October 12, 2023.

It will debut two new cheesy street chalupas in Indianapolis that day. The nationwide release timetable will rely on revisions made after limited-release receptions.

Taco Bell offers preliminary pricing for these new products. Cheesey street chalupas, available in pairs, cost $5.49–$5.99.

An order of five nuggets costs $3.99–$4.99, while a 10-piece order costs $6.99–$8.99. Taco Bell will also introduce additional sauces to distinguish these new menu items.

New crispy chicken nuggets are Taco Bell's newest effort to gain fast food chicken nugget popularity. The company canceled their 2017 "chicken chips," triangular chicken nuggets.

The new crispy nuggets' durability will be tested. The buttermilk dredging incorporates jalapeños for a unique kick compared to other nuggets.

Cheesy street chalupas come with chicken or steak and a shell loaded with mozzarella and pepper jack cheeses. The "street" in the name may refer to street tacos sold at carts in Mexico and the South.

Topping these chalupas with onions and cilantro honors the street cart original, even if Taco Bell has never represented real Mexican cuisine.
